  1. 2013

    Three university classmates start photographing sports competitions, conferences, guest lectures and seminars. Of all the file formats they handle, JPEG is the one they use every day, so it becomes the name.

  2. 2015

    Joining the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) turns a group of friends into professional freelancers. Five members set a growth policy: add up to three passionate, skilled people a year, and invest in people before cameras.

  3. 2023

    Formal registration as JPEG Image Productions Sole Co., Ltd. The studio grows from photography into full-service multimedia, with video production and content creation.

  4. 2024

    Tailored service packages and a three-phase workflow of pre-production, production and post-production, with a larger team behind every client.

  5. 2026

    R:Oo’nd joins the family: a creative team for content and marketing, built on three words, art, craft and brew.

  6. Today

    A family of creators working across five brands: JPEG, Will You Marry Me, First Rolls, SelfTalk and R:Oo’nd.

Vision is more than the act of seeing; it is the courage to define what is possible. For me, photography began as an inherited legacy, a gift passed down through generations. Yet it only transformed into my life's calling the moment I chose to focus my own lens, stepping away from conventional expectations to pursue a fundamental truth.

In 2013, this shared conviction among university peers gave rise to JPEG. What began as a collective passion has matured into a premier multimedia organisation dedicated to the art of visual storytelling. We recognise imagery as a profound, universal language, one capable of bridging divides, awakening authenticity and driving meaningful social progress.
